For those who wish to verify insurance: After clicking “Verify Insurance,” please log into or create your Patient Portal account, then proceed to fill in the Patient Information, Address & Contact Information, and Insurance Information forms. Please note that all 3 forms need to be submitted for your insurance to be verified.

We ask that all new patients arrive 15 minutes early to complete their New Patient Forms.

⚠️ Important: If this is your first time visiting our clinic, you must book an Initial Acupuncture Visit. Return visits are for existing patients only.

Please contact our office for a complete listing of fees. Our website only offers partial listing. We are in-network with Cigna and accept many insurance plans that include acupuncture benefits. Please see other plans we work with below.

  • If you have insurance, please verify your benefits before your visit.

    You may:

    • Alternatively, call or text our office at (650) 622-6268 and provide:

      • Full name

      • Date of birth

      • Address

      • Phone number

      • Insurance provider

      • Member ID

    We will respond within 1–2 business days with your coverage details.

  • Acupuncture is an eligible expense under:

    • Health Savings Accounts (HSA)

    • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

    We can provide receipts for reimbursement.

What to Expect

A new patient visit typically lasts up to 90 minutes, while follow-up visits are generally shorter.

  • To ensure a smooth and effective visit:

    • Eat a light meal 1–2 hours before your appointment

    • Do not come on an empty stomach

    • Wear loose, comfortable clothing

    • Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and stimulants beforehand

    • Bring any relevant lab results, test reports, or medication/supplement lists

  • We will discuss:

    • Your primary concerns and symptoms

    • Overall health and well-being

    • Lifestyle factors such as diet and sleep

    This allows us to understand your condition holistically and answer any questions you may have.
    Lifestyle, dietary, and exercise recommendations may also be discussed.

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic methods may include:

    • Pulse diagnosis

    • Tongue and facial observation

    • Palpation and range of motion testing (if pain-related)

    These help determine your diagnosis and treatment plan.

  • Once your treatment plan is established:

    • You will lie comfortably on a treatment bed and acupuncture needles will be placed

    • You will rest for approximately 30–45 minutes

    Additional therapies may be used depending on your condition:

    • Cupping

    • Gua sha

    • Moxibustion

    • Electrical stimulation

    • Acupressure / Tuina

  • If appropriate, herbal formulas may be prescribed in granule (powder) form for convenience.

    These will be prepared in our clinic and available for pickup after your visit.
